Did you know that one in three Idaho families struggle to afford diapers?
This startling fact is why the Idaho Diaper Bank’s mission is to collaborate with community partners throughout the state to mobilize efforts to make a difference in the lives of the 52% of Idaho babies age 3 or younger who live in poor or low-income families.
The Idaho Diaper Bank gives out nearly 50,000 diapers each month and nearly 500,000 diapers each year. They have close to thirty different locations in the Boise and surrounding areas; http://www.idahodiaperbank.org/locations/. Faces of Hope Victim Center is glad to be one of these locations.
Their vision is to ensure every diaper wearing person in Idaho has access to diapers and diapering supplies. By providing families with access to basic necessities such as diapers they are helping reduce the adverse early experiences many Idaho babies are experiencing.
Here at Faces of Hope we are proud to partner with the Idaho Diaper bank. On average, we give out 1,000 diapers a month. As victims come in our center looking for help, the financial burden of buying diapers seems to be a challenge. We have appreciated the Idaho Diaper Bank’s help in making sure the children that come to our center can have clean, fresh, and size appropriate diapers. This has allowed parents to focus on some of the more pressing issues they are facing.
